Terms

Last updated 2026-07-20.

Street Leaky is a browser extension that shows you public records about NYC buildings on StreetEasy listings. By installing it, you agree to the following.

Free tier, and a paid tier.

The public-records features are free and require no account. An optional paid plan adds features that cost us money to run. You can use Street Leaky indefinitely without paying or signing up.

Billing.

Paid plans are billed monthly through Stripe, who handle payment details; we never see your card number. Cancel any time from your account page; access continues until the end of the period you've paid for. We don't prorate partial months.

Public records can be wrong.

Everything we show comes from city and state open data. Those sources contain errors, duplicates, and incomplete information. Don't make a housing decision based only on what Street Leaky shows. Read the underlying records, ask the landlord, and trust your own judgment.

Automated photo analysis is an estimate.

The paid plan can flag listing photos that appear to be AI-generated. It is an automated guess from a third-party classifier, not proof, and it will sometimes be wrong in both directions. It does not detect digital staging or retouching. Treat it as a prompt to ask questions, never as an accusation.

No guarantees.

We make no guarantees about uptime, accuracy, or availability. The service can break, be paused, or be retired. If we retire a paid feature we'll stop charging for it.

Don't abuse the service.

Personal use only. No reselling, no scraping, no bulk crawling, no using Street Leaky to harass anyone named in a record.

Not affiliated.

Street Leaky is not affiliated with StreetEasy, Zillow, the City of New York, the State of New York, or any landlord, broker, or building referenced in the data.

Changes.
